The beauty of its spots, the cherry blossoms, the gorges
than channel the cool mountain waters to River
Jerte, the monuments and emblematic places of its
towns and fauna, make of this place one of the most
beautiful tourist destinations of Europe.
The Valley of Jerte is located north-east of Cáceres, in
the foothills of Gredos, spanned from north to south
by the river that gives its name and by National Highway
110, that connects Plasencia with Ávila through
the Tornavacas Port.
We find the magic of the valley all year round, but
April is special, when snow starts to melt and thousands
of cherry blossoms dye of white its mountainside
filling the whole valley.
It offers visitors an alternate landscape, giving them
the possibility of reunite with nature, to go through
the numerous gorges that sharply descend from the
mountains or to go into its leafy forest. |
